General Information

Economists working in this field are invited to submit a paper or an abstract for presentation at the DEGIT XV conference. Papers focusing on general equilibrium growth and models of large trading economies are welcome. The roles of financial stability, global and regional trade patterns, foreign direct investment, and international governance are of particular interest. Contributions on other specialized topics, such as monetary growth models and issues of market structure and economic development are also welcome. Papers containing both empirical and theoretical issues will be considered.

This conference is a sequel to fourteen previous conferences with the same theme held in Denmark (1996), Hong Kong (1997), Taiwan (1998), Tilburg (1999), Rome (2000), Vienna (2001), Cologne (2002), Helsinki (2003), Reykjavik (2004), Mexico City (2005), Jerusalem (2006), Melbourne (2007), Manila (2008), and Los Angeles (2009).

Publication of Papers

A subset of the papers will be considered for publication in a proper international journal, subject to the usual review process and approval by the Editorial Board.

Conference Fee

The conference fee is € 200, if the payment is received by June 15, 2010. After this date, the fee is € 250.

Accommodation

 

We have reserved a contingent of hotel rooms at the Turm Hotel from 2.9.-5.9.2010 for you. To make reservations please email to rooms(at)turmhotel-fra.de referring to DEGIT XV.

 

Please state how long you would like to stay - just in case you wish to depart earlier - and which room category you prefer. There are three room categories available: Design Oriental Hip, Comfort and Classic.  Design and Comfort are more expensive, but only on the first night (110€ as opposed to 85€ in classic), after this the weekend rate pitches in and its just 55€ a night for all categories.

The hotel is fairly close to campus. You can walk (approx. 15 minutes) or take the subway for one station (distance to train station 200 meters).
