Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Network Analysis in Financial Services

25 Oktober 2018

Summit on Network Analysis

- in cooperation with Uhlenbruch

At the conference we will realistically assess how to use e.g. machine learning, and e.g. natural language processing (NLP) in the financial services environment, and how far we have come with machine based search processes, information extraction, machine translation, text generation, sentiment analysis, and many other approaches. Our speakers, academics and practitioners alike will also focus on areas such as:

  • Correlation networks and its impact on portfolio management
  • The role of network analysis in estimating counterparty risk in OTC markets, and understanding the drivers of systemic risk
  • AI and Data Science in Enterprise Risk Management
  • AI, big data, and network science – the role of latest technology in enabling state-of-the-art portfolio management and banking

Although there is a substantial hype around AI, big data and network science we are still pretty much at the beginning of a very long term journey. Over 20 speakers will give a realistic assessment of where the discussion and implementation currently is, and what the potential is for the future, touching upon latest methodology, and technology. Real world examples of current usage within financial services organizations will provide a very good understanding what`s possible and what not at this stage.

  • Dan Evans, Network Science Center, United States Military Academy, West Point and Storm King Analytics, Cornwall on Hudson, New York
